Vehicle Break-Ins Still Occurring

Vehicle break-ins are still occurring, and law enforcement is reminding the public to keep your vehicle doors locked when the vehicle is unattended. Also report any suspicious people or activity that you see in your neighborhood to your local law enforcement agency.
Here are some of the latest incidents from the City of Dillon Police Department:
—According to a report by PFC Christopher Zeller, on September 2, an incident was reported on Radford Boulevard. A woman had pulled her car in a business parking lot because it had broken down and when she returned she realized that some items in her center console were rearranged, and she was missing $50 in cash. Nothing else was missing. Sgt. Jason Turner is the investigator.
—According to a report by Sgt. Michael Yoder, between September 3-4, someone entered an unlocked vehicle on East Roosevelt Street, took the change out of the center console, and went through the glove compartment. Investigator Monroe Herring was called to the scene.
—According to a report by Cpl. Lorie Tyler, a vehicle break-in was reported on East Roosevelt Street on September 4th. The vehicle had been gone through and change was missing. A baseball bat that did not belong to the victim was found in the vehicle. Sgt. James Hayes is the investigator.
—According to a report by Cpl. Lorie Tyler, a vehicle break-in was reported on September 4th on Martin Luther King Boulevard. A work bag was missing from the car.
—According to a report by PFC. Blake Legette,  a vehicle break-in was reported on September 4 on Martin Luther King Boulevard. The victim did not see anything missing from the vehicle. Sgt. James Hayes is the investigator.
