Graveside services for Carlie Herring were held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was held 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the mausoleum.
Mr. Herring, 79, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Dillon, SC, March 21, 1936, he was the son of the late Arthur Herring and Arzella Gray Herring. He was retired from the Dillon County Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Julie C. Herring of Dillon; children, Sandy (Rev. Lanny) Carpenter of Lake View, Randy (Amanda) Herring of Marion, Andy Herring of GA, Susan (Chris) Alford of Dillon, and Robin Berry of Mullins; grandchildren, Bryan and, Alecia Carpenter, Scott (Jerri) Carpenter, Stacy (Timmy) Johnson, Joshua, Jamie and Samantha Carpenter, Corey Herring, Haley Herring, Johnathon, Jessica, and Wesley Herring, Colby Summerford, Leslie Herring, Taylor Daniels, Matthew and Nathan Barker; great-grandchild, Leah Herring; sister, Brenda Loman of Florence.
