Delton “Del” Carl Daniels, 22, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, surrounded by his loving family.
Born, October 20, 1992 in Marion, SC, he was a son of Carl Mark and Bridgette Barfield Daniels. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Del attended Florence-Darlington Technical College and was a Deputy with the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Department. He began volunteering with the fire department when he was 15 and was a member of the Bennettsville and Brightsville Fire Departments. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting and four-wheeling. Del could always be found with a smile on his face. He loved to laugh and lived life to the fullest.
Del was preceded in death by his brother, Joshua Mark Daniels, and his maternal grandfather, Ernest Gene Barfield.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, listed above; a brother, Brandon Ray Daniels, sister, Dorothy Brianna Daniels; paternal grandparents, Carl and Dorothy Daniels of Dillon; maternal grandmother, Patricia Barfield of Dillon; aunts, Rae Daniels Moody (Greg) of Raleigh, NC, and Miranda Daniels Williams (Russell) of Dillon; an uncle, Tony Barfield of Warner Robbins, GA; cousins, Austin Moody, Mary Moody, Amanda Williams, Cade Williams, Britney Barfield, Bianca Barfield, and a host of friends that loved him dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church followed by burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bennettsville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Burroughs & Cooper Funeral Home.
