Four local players have been named to All-State and All-Region softball teams.
In Class 2A, Dillon’s Shaquailla German earned her second straight All-State selection. German was also named All-Region and has been chosen for the North South All-Star game. German has signed on to play for Claflin University next season.
Dillon’s Erin Bailey, Tyieshah Jones, Johnna Rogers, and Shar’Asia Samuel were also named All-Region players and Brittany Miller and Ashley Phillips were Honorable Mention All-Region players.
In Class A, Lake View’s Marissa Tyndall earned her second straight All-State selection and was also named All-Region along with Ally Spivey and Ashley Rogers.
Latta’s state championship team had two players named All-State: Madison Owens and pitcher Dori Webster. It is the first All-State selection for both Vikings.
