Mount Calvary Baptist Church Holds Revival

Mount Calvary Baptist Church held a 5 meeting, multiday Revival April 27-30th. Braxton Hunter was the guest speaker. Braxton is the former president of the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists (COSBE).
He serves as professor of apologetics at Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana. He received his PhD in Christian Apologetics. He also holds a B.A. in expository preaching, and an M.A. in Theology. Braxton is the author of Blinding Lights:
The Glaring Evidences of the Christian Faith, Death is a Doorway, Core Facts: The Strategy for Understandable and Teachable Christian Defense.
Braxton is no stranger to Dillon County. In 2009 he preached at a county wide tent revival meeting. These services were attended by thousands. During that week, over 200 trusted Jesus for salvation. Last year, he returned to Dillon to speak at Mount Calvary. Twenty souls trusted in Jesus during that week of services.
This year, Braxton was invited to return to Mount Calvary to hold another Revival meeting. Multiple people responded during every service.
The largest response took place on Tuesday night, which was promoted as both a Youth Night, and a Harvest night. Nineteen said yes to Jesus that night. In total, over 30 placed their trust in Jesus for salvation for the week. The promise of God is “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” -Acts 16:31.
