County Council Ratifies Borrow Pit Agreement
The Dillon County Council ratified the excavation (Borrow Pit) agreement dated October 22, 2014 between Jim and Elizabeth King and Dillon County to new property owner Sherri B. Jackson. County Attorney Ken DuBose told council that this agreement was previously approved. This is the same contract, it just ratifies with present owner. Councilman Archie Scott made the motion to change name to Sherrie B. Jackson. Councilman Randy Goings seconded, and all were in favor.

Bethea Appointed to Public-Private Economic
Development Partnership Board
Dillon County Councilman Randy Goings appointed Willie Bethea to the Dillon County Public-Private Economic Development Partnership Board. County Councilman Stevie Grice made the motion which was seconded by County Councilman Robbie Coward. All were in favor.

Reappointments Made to Trinity Behavioral Board
The Dillon County Council reappointed Freddie Jackson and J.D. McLeod. Councilman Archie Scott made the motion. Councilman Robbie Coward seconded the motion. All were in favor.

Council Provides Funds
For Project Lifesaver
The Dillon County Council voted to provide funds to the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office to help families with autistic children. The Sheriff’s Office is funding the program with donations. It will take about $7,500 to get the program up and going, Sheriff Major Hulon said. The program enables law enforcement to provide a bracelet for the child so they are able to locate the child if he or she gets lost. Deputy Kim Brumble will be coordinating the program.

$2,000 Donation Made To
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
The Dillon County Council voted to make a donation in the amount of $2,000 to Neighbors Helping Neighbors. The motion was made by Councilman Robbie Coward with a second from Councilman Bobby Moody. The motion was approved.
