Sunrise Service Held At Mount Calvary Baptist Church

Mount Calvary Baptist Church began its celebration of Easter Sunday, April 5th, with a sunrise service at 7:00 a.m. Gene Tanner, Music Director, opened the service with a welcome and a prayer.
Several hymns were sung by the congregation including “The Blood Will Never Lose Its Power,” “At the Cross,” “There’s Something about that Name,” “He Is Lord,” and “Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow.” Gene Tanner followed with a solo. Dr. Greg Hyler’s message was from Matthew 27. After the benediction and blessing, breakfast was served.
Sunday School began at 10:00 a.m. and worship service at 11:00 a.m.
The Easter Worship Service began with baptism. This was followed by congregational singing and a well received performance from the Mount Calvary Baptist Quartet.
Dr. Hyler’s message was from Isaiah 52. Upon completion of the sermon, communion was observed. The worship service was concluded following the benediction.
