Miller Attends Young Farmer And Rancher Conference

A record number of attendees met recently for the annual South Carolina Farm Bureau Federation (SCFB) Young Farmer and Rancher Conference. Dillon County resident Caleb Miller was among the more than 200 young farmers and ranchers who traveled to historic downtown Charleston to network, become better leaders in their communities, share their stories of “Farm Life” and learn how they can become better family farmers.
“Our Young Farmer and Rancher program is growing with an increasing number of young people interested in agriculture and expanding their knowledge of farming,” said SCFB Promotion and Education Division Director Reginald Hall. Agricultural advocate and radio host, Trent Loos, opening session speaker, talked about how farmers and ranchers can share their stories about life on the farm. He said it all starts in our own communities because that is where there is the most potential to have an impact. The SCFB Young Farmer and Rancher program is one of many purpose activities sponsored by the South Carolina Farm Bureau Federation. To learn more, log on to scfb.org.
