The Latta Vikings traveled to Lake View on Tuesday night and opened conference play with a 66-48 win over the Wild Gators in boys varsity basketball action.
Latta was led by Kartilus McFadden with 14 points. The Vikings had 14 out of 15 players score in the game.
Lake View was led by Chavis Nichols with 14 points in the effort. James Inman added 11 and Emmanuel Williams scored eight for the Wild Gators.
Latta improves to 5-4 with the win and opens conference play with a 1-0 record in Region 8-A. Lake View remains winless with an 0-1 region record.
The Vikings, ranked eighth in the state in Class A boys basketball, are scheduled to host Creek Bridge this Friday night, and Hemingway on Tuesday, January 20, before traveling to Green Sea on Friday, January 23.
Lake View was scheduled to travel to Aynor on Wednesday night and will be at Hemingway on Friday. The Wild Gators are set to host Carvers Bay on Tuesday and will be at Creek Bridge on Friday, January 23.
Game times are set for 6:00 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local teams!
