Latta’s 12U Dixie Ponytails defeated Lumberton, North Carolina, 9-7 to advance in the 2014 Dixie Ponytails World Series.
The Latta Ponytails are scheduled to face Virginia later today. Both teams are undefeated in the tournament. Lumberton is scheduled to face Florida in the elimination bracket, and Texas and Georgia are also facing elimination.
The Traditional Ponytails softball tournament is being held in North Myrtle Beach and will continue through Friday.
