Latta’s Tyrell Sabb has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Vance-Granville Community College in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
The Viking guard averaged 20 points a game in the 2013-2014 season and was Latta’s leading scorer, earning All-State and All-Region honors.
Latta finished the season with a 9-8 record and an 8-2 record in Region 8A, falling to C.E. Murray in the playoffs.
Sabb also qualified for the high jump in the Class A Lower State qualifier and competed in the state track meet, where he finished fifth in the event.
