Manning Baptist Church Selects Veteran Of The Quarter

Manning Baptist Veterans’ Ministry has selected Angela Thompson as Veteran of the Quarter recently.
Serving the United States of America was a lifetime dream of Angela Thompson. So, in 2002, she made the ultimate sacrifice – leaving her children to join the United States Army. She says that taking the oath to support and to defend her country was a moment of exhilaration.
Mrs. Thompson was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where she did her Basic Training.
During her training at Fort Leonard Wood, Angela received a revelation from God, and she decided to return home. At that time, she transitioned from military to civilian life.
Angela is an active member of Manning Baptist Church where she serves as church clerk and Sunday school teacher. She is also a member of the Veterans’ Ministry.
She is the daughter of Reverend James McAllister and Mrs. Paula Samuels. Angela is married to the DNR officer, Andre’ Thompson, and they are the parents of five children.
She is employed with the Dillon County Sheriff’s office. She says her employment gives her great joy because she has an opportunity to serve both Dillon County and the State of South Carolina.
Mrs. Thompson’s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
The Veterans Ministry and the Manning Baptist Church family say thanks, Angela, for your services to the United States Army.
