Coming Home
To The Editor:
On January 16th we had the pleasure of coming “home” to Dillon to participate in a concert of the S.C. Baptist Singing Churchmen which was held at First Baptist Church in Dillon. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at the great attendance by the community where chairs had to be brought in to accommodate the crowd. This group of ministers of music from all over S.C. sang a variety of sacred music, and the orchestra played several selections at the beginning of the program. Rev. Jon Whisnand and the home church were wonderful hosts and made us proud to be from Dillon. Thanks to all the fold from Dillon, Fairmont, Latta, Bennettsville, and Blenheim who worshipped with us that night.
