Gaddy Carries On Family Tradition Of Perfect School Attendance

By Betsy Finklea
Smith Gaddy has carried on a family tradition that is very unique—perfect attendance during all of his years of school.
This was achieved by his grandmother, Eloise Smith, who had perfect attendance during all of her years of school; and his brother, Quentin, who accomplished the feat a few years ago.
During his senior year at Latta High School, Gaddy was honored with a Senior Superlative for Best Attitude, served as an FFA (Future Farmers of America) officer, was a member of the National Honor Society, ran cross-country track, and was a member of the golf team.
Gaddy  is also an Eagle Scout among his many accomplishments.
Smith, the son of Richard and Becky Gaddy, plans to attend The Citadel in the fall.
