Services for Mary Beth Herring Powers was held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Powers, 82, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Horry County, SC, May 31, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Victor Herring and Janie Watts Herring. She attended Full Gospel Holiness Church, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 60 1/2 years, James T. Powers of Dillon; children, Janice Powers (Billy) Bryant, Wayne (Crystal) Powers, both of Dillon, and Tommy (Diane) Powers of Woodruff, SC; grandchildren, Candace Powers, Lindsay Powers, Brandon Powers, Jessica Powers, and Ashleigh Powers; 4 great-grandchildren; special friends, Linda McKenzie Morgan and Gladys Carter.
Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her son, James Ray Powers.
