Latta’s 9–10-year old girls softball team competed in the All Star tournament last week.
The Latta All Stars defeated North Myrtle Beach, Surfside, and Marion before falling in the tournament. Across their first four games, Latta scored 82 runs and gave up 47 with only 10 earned runs.
This week, Latta Recreation is hosting the 8U and 12U girls All Star district tournaments with games played Monday through Wednesday at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. every night. Fifteen teams are playing in the tournament, including teams from Latta and Lake View.
