Local Players Receive HSSR All-State Honors

Local athletes from Dillon, Dillon Christian, Latta, and Lake View received All-State honors from High School Sports Report.

Dillon Christian School’s Jim Carr was named HSSR – SCISA All-State in Golf. He was also named to SCISA’s All-State golf team.

The Warriors’ Josh Price was named to the HSSR-SCISA All-Rookie baseball team.

The Dillon Wildcats had Duncan Callahan, Weston Bailey, and Kyle Britt named to the HSSR Class AA All-State baseball team, while Tara Grimsley, Darby Hamer, and Shaquailla German were named All-State in softball.

Lake View’s Weston Rogers and Carson Rogers were both named to the HSSR All-Rookie baseball team, and Chris Ford and Nate Lewis both made the Class A All-State list.

Marissa Tyndall made the HSSR All-Rookie softball team, and Morgan Herlong and Kayla Sanderson were named to the Class A All-State softball team.

Latta’s John Kever Love, Travis Power, and Donell Stanley all made the HSSR Class A All-State baseball team, and Jackson Williams made the All-Rookie team.

Anna Rogers and Raven Baxley were named All-State in Class A softball, and Tori Grimsley, Macy Hyatt, and Madison Owens all made the All-Rookie team.

A banquet will be held for the honorees at See Wells Restaurant in Columbia, South Carolina, on Sunday, June 23, at 5:00 p.m. A buffet meal will be served and trophies awarded.
