The Dillon Christian School varsity boy’s lost a heartbreaker to defending state 2A champions the Williamsburg Academy Stallions Tuesday night in Kingstree.

The Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and were out front 3-2 at the end of two. Innings three, four, and five were scoreless, but the Stallions tied the game at 3-3 in the sixth and got the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Although a bitter loss, Warrior Head Coach Randy Carlyle learned that his team can play with any team in the region.

“The Stallions are one of the top teams in the state,” Dillon Christian School Athletic Director Christian Wolfe added. “Our entire infield, including pitcher and catcher, are freshmen. Our future looks bright!”

At bat for the Warriors, Josh Price was 2-for-3, Douglas Bullock was 1-for-2, Jake Boykin was 1-for-3, and Conner Anderson was 1-for-4.
