The Latta Recreation 9-10 year old girls defeated Dillon Sky 34-19 on Saturday, February 2, to improve to 6-1 on the season in recreation league basketball.
The Latta girls are averaging 34 points a game with Rihanna Greene averaging 26 points per game.
“She is absolutely amazing basketball player,” said Latta Recreation Director Ann Jackson. “She is the best I have ever seen lay at her age. It’s a shame she has to wait two more years before she can play varsity, that’s how good she is.”
The Latta girls have now defeated Dillon Sky twice and have earned wins over Lake View, Dillon Dream, and Marion this season. Their one loss came from Mullins.
Latta Recreation were scheduled to take on Mullins for a second time on Thursday at Mullins.
