Lady Warriors Fall to Golden Eagles

Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors fell 52-12 to the visiting Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles on Tuesday.

Pee Dee took a 10-1 lead in the first and led 27-5 at the half. The Eagles outscored the Warriors 25-7 in the second half to secure the win.

Lauren Lee led the Lady Warriors in the loss with five points and Kylee Sullivan added four, with Jamie Carpenter earning two and Amanda Bass adding one point in the loss.

Every Golden Eagle scored in the game with Mary Gregg leading the charge with 12 points. Tori Johnson scored 8; Taylor Herrington, 7; Jennifer Smith, 7; Meg Webster, 6; Anna Jacobs, 3; Holden Gasque, 1; and Kaitlin Estes, Kaitlyn Caulder, Carlee Dozier, and Anna Owens each added two points in the win.

Pee Dee Academy improves to 11-4 overall with an undefeated 6-0 record in Region 8A. The Lady Warriors are 2-8 overall and 0-5 in the region.

Dillon Christian will host the Carolina Academy Bobcats on Friday, January 18, with junior varsity action beginning at 4:00 p.m.

The Warriors will be on the road next week to face Williamsburg Academy on Tuesday and The King’s Academy on Friday, January 25.
