Etta Lockamy

Services for Etta Martha Cutchin Lockamy will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday at the Dillon Church of God with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
     Mrs. Lockamy, 93, died Friday, January 11, 2013 at her residence.
     Born in Stanly County, NC, December 10, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus Eric Cutchin and Julia Maner Cutchin.  She was a member of the Dillon Church of God, and was a homemaker.  She was the widow of the late James Robert Graham Lockamy.
     Survivors include her children, James R. (Vivian) Lockamy of Dillon, Martha L. Bridges of Dillon, Jackie L. (Wanda) Lockamy of Little Rock, and Richard (Carolyn) Lockamy of Little Rock; brothers, Walter Cutchin of Taylors, SC, Richard Dennis Cutchin of Mooresville, NC, Larry Davis Cutchin of Marlboro County, and Monte Cutchin of McColl; sisters, Julia Reynolds of Charlotte, NC, Faye Cutchin of McColl, SC, and Nancy Lee Mayo of Tacoma, WA; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
     Mrs. Lockamy was preceded in death by her sisters, Emma Jean Bearden, Rachel Dean Cutchin, Ruth McLendon, and Elizabeth Teague; and her brothers, Edgar Cutchin, and Bobby Wayne Cutchin.
     Memorials may be made to the Dillon Church of God EXABUS Fund, and the Gideon Bibles.
     The family would like to say a special thank you to Mrs. Lockamy’s caregivers Betty Lane, Odessa Lighty, Lisa McGill, and Donna Lewis, and also a special thank you to the nursing staff of Hospice Care of South Carolina.
