Ralph Lacey Rogers

Ralph Lacey Rogers, 83, of Whiteville, N.C. died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late Lacey Badger Rogers and Ola Kennedy Rogers and was preceded in death by a brother, George Lester Rogers. 
Mr. Rogers was a member of First Baptist Church, Whiteville, N.C. and attended Living Word of Chadbourn, N.C. He was a member and treasurer of the Whiteville Lions Club. Mr. Rogers was a graduate of Dillon High School, Dillon, S.C. and Wofford College, Spartanburg, S.C. and his previous positions were CEO of Pender Memorial Hospital from 1956 -1962 and CEO of Wallace Thompson Hospital from 1962-1968 and was the Hospital Administrator at Columbus County Hospital for twenty-three years until he retired in 1991. 
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Tippins Rogers of Whiteville, N.C.; Sons: William Michael Rogers of High Point, N.C. and Ralph Lee Rogers and wife, Sandra E. Rogers of Raleigh, N.C.; Daughters: Mary Lynn Rogers of Whiteville, N.C. and Susan Rogers Duncan and husband, Greg T. Duncan of Whiteville, N.C.; Aunt: Marie Rogers Robbins of Dillon, S.C.; Nephews: Darryl Rogers of Murrell Inlet, S.C. and Norman Rogers of Leesville, S.C.; Grandsons: David Rogers and Daniel Rogers of Raleigh, N.C., Brandon Duncan,  Joshua Duncan  and Luke Duncan of Whiteville, N.C. 
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Whiteville, N.C.  with Dr. Ronald Hinson, Rev. Lester Holcomb and Rev. Bobby Phillips officiating. 
Visitation will be Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.  prior to the service. 
Memorials may be made to the Whiteville Rescue Squad, 106 Flowers Pridgen Road, Whiteville, N.C. 28472 or to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 206 Warrior Trail Road, Whiteville, N.C. 28472.
