Clemson Shotgun Club Wins First Place at Competition

The Clemson University Shotgun club won first place overall at the Southeast Collegiate shotgun competition held in Jacksonville Florida on Oct 27, 2012. Clemson won first Place in American Trap and Wobble Trap and came in Second in Skeet. A total on 9 different colleges and Universities competed in the One Day event. Each shooter shot 50 American trap Targets, 50 Wobble trap Targets and 50 skeet Targets.

The Clemson team had two shooters from Dillon County shooting on the winning Squad. They were Senior, Player Aston and freshman, Cody Gasque. Both Shooters had been previous competitors with the Dillon County 4-H Shooting Sports.

Hunter Baughman of the Clemson team was the High Over All (HOA) shooter for whole event and freshman Catherine Blankenship of Clemson was the Lady HOA. Another Clemson Shooter, Austin Mogey, sophomore from Florence, SC won HOA in the skeet event.
