Faculty and staff members from South Elementary School enjoyed an end-of-year luncheon on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Brandi’s Banquet Hall.
Jayne C. Lee, principal, welcomed faculty and staff members and then everyone enjoyed a delightful buffet lunch.
After lunch, Mrs. Jayne C. Lee continued with the program.
She thanked everyone for their hard work during the 2011-2012 school year. She then recognized employees for having perfect attendance for the year and those not returning for the 2012-2013 school year.
Mrs. Lee recognized five teachers that had perfect attendance for the year: Mrs. Bonne Rasmussen, Mr. Jay Alderman, Mrs. Kathy Cooper, Mrs. Kathy Bryant and Mrs. Vernetta Ward. Each received a gift as a token of appreciation for their strong work ethic and service to their students.
Three employees that will not be returning to South for the 2012-2013 school year were then recognized.
Each staff member received a gift in appreciation of their service to the school.
Those recognized included: Linda Dean, Stephanie Rimer, and Casey Hill.
Mrs. Lee then took this opportunity to recognize Mrs. Robin Floyd, Title I facilitator, for working tirelessly at both Stewart Heights Elementary School and South Elementary School during the 2011-2012 school year.
She served as Title I facilitator at both sites and she gave willingly of her time to provide guidance and love to the students and teachers. Dillon District Four has many employees like Mrs. Floyd. Those who work over and above their daily schedule to do whatever it takes to help the students excel.
Mrs. Floyd is one of these dedicated employees and Mrs. Lee acknowledged her service with a token of appreciation. At the conclusion of the luncheon, faculty and staff members recognized Jayne C. Lee, principal, who will not be returning to South in the fall.
Staff members presented her with a lovely pair of Pandora earrings.
After all the presentations were made, faculty and staff members were dismissed.
