A Dillon County Sheriff’s deputy wrecked his car on Wednesday evening. The wreck occurred on Highway 301 near K&G Storage. No other vehicles were involved. The deputy was taken to the hospital to be checked out, but initial word at the scene did not indicate any serious injuries. The cause of the wreck had not been released at the time of this posting. No further details were available.

A Dillon County Sheriff’s deputy wrecked his car on Wednesday evening. The wreck occurred on Hwy. 301 near K&G Storage. The vehicle went off the road and through a fence. Deputy Melvin Lee was the officer driving the vehicle. Deputy Lee said that he saw a car with a woman and child turning in front of him, and he tried to avoid hitting her which resulted in the wreck.
