Amy Carol McKenzie, 39, died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Grand Strand Hospital after an accident.
Funeral services are March 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View. The family received friends March 21, 2012 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View.
Mrs. McKenzie was born in Robeson County, North Carolina, July 21, 1972, the daughter of Charlie Pearce and Sharon Sealey Hayes. Amy was an ICU nurse at McLeod of Dillon and taught at Dillon County ATEC. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and Ashpole Swamp Hunting Club.
Surviving Mrs. McKenzie are her husband, Rusty McKenzie of the home; daughter, Natalie McKenzie of Clemson University; son, John Riley McKenzie of the home; mother, Sharon Hayes (Marion) of Lake View, SC; father, Charlie Pearce (Carolyn) of Fairmont, NC; sister, Maria Hayes of Myrtle Beach, SC; and mother-in-law, Joan McKenzie of Lake View, SC.
