Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators fell 65-45 to Carvers Bay on Friday in Hemingway.
The Lady Bears started strong, finishing the first quarter with an 18-11 lead. Carvers Bay would go on to outscore Lake View 14-11, 16-11, and 17-12 in the remaining quarters to claim the win.
Jasmine Cobb earned 25 points and Jasmine Eaddy added 22 to lead Carvers Bay in the win. Cobb made 13 steals in the game, and Eaddy grabbed 12 rebounds. Rhomona Reed earned seven, Aaliyah Rice scored four, Amber Linnen added three, and Whitney Washington and Lila Young each earned two points in the win.
Stats for the Lady Gators were not available at press time.
Lake View is now 4-10 overall and 2-7 in Region 8A.
On Friday, Lake View will travel to take on Creek Bridge, but the Lady Gators will be back at home on Tuesday to host Hemingway.
On Thursday, February 9, Lake View travels to Latta to face the Lady Vikings in the final game of the regular season for both teams. Game times are at 6:00 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local teams.
