Mr. Edison Cox died Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Fork, SC after an illness.
Mr. Cox was born in Dillon County, the son of the late Rembert Holden and Swansea Cox. He was a veteran of World War II and the owner of James Cox Fencing Company of Fork, SC.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Lake View, SC, with burial to follow at Hayestown Cemetery of Lake View, directed by Cook Funeral Home of Lake View. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Cook Funeral Home.
Surviving Mr. Cox are his wife, Gussie Jackson Cox of Fork; a son, Danny Ray (Wanda) Cox of Fork; Grandchildren James Cox, Chris Cox, Rodney Cox, Pam Kissam, Ashley Cox; and six great grandchildren.
Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his son and daughter-in-law, James Earl and Jody Cox.
