Services for Ellen Wilkes was held 11:00 a.m. Monday in New Life Assembly in Dillon with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation was held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday in Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mrs. Wilkes, 84, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Chesterfield General Hospital in Cheraw.
Born in Marion, SC, December 8, 1927, she was the daughter of the late McKever Rouse and Etta Sports Rouse. She was a member of Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Beverly (Ralph) Ruffner of Latta, Mitchell (Donna) Wilkes of Cheraw, Lisa (Mark) Vaillancourt of Latta, and John (Anna) Wilkes of Hartsville; sister, Louise Sports of Dillon; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilkes was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wilkes; and her son, Bobby Wilkes.
