Mrs. Ruth Lupo, died Monday, January 2, 2012 at her home in Lake View, SC, after an illness. A funeral service was held Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 at 12:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View, directed by Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View, SC. The family received friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Mrs. Lupo was born in Dillon County on October 11, 1920, the daughter of the late John Chaddie and Letha Price Hayes of Lake View. Mrs. Lupo was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake View, where she served many years as a Sunday School Teacher, had served as a member and director of the WMU, and was a member of the Dorcas Bible Class. She was a retired teacher of Home Economics at Lake View School District. She was also a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and the Lake View Women’s Club. Surviving Mrs. Lupo are her son, Ronnie (Marilyn) of Nichols, SC; her daughter, Joan Beth
(Mike) Page of Lake View; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Ms. Lupo was preceded in death by her husband, J. E. Lupo, and her daughter, Mary Ellen Church of Lake View. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake View, SC, PO Box 397, Lake View, SC 29563.
