Lake View’s Wild Gators fell to Green Sea Floyds 49-40 on Thursday, December 15.
The Wild Gators trailed by only four points at the half, but the Trojans outscored Lake View 17-8 in the third to carry a 41-28 lead into the final quarter. Lake View rallied to go 12-8 in the fourth, but it wasn’t quite enough to close the gap.
Michael Page led Lake View with a team-high 11 points and two three-pointers and Darius Leonard added 10 points. Morgan McDaniel scored eight, Jamal Ford earned seven, and Shaquille Foxworth netted two, with Corenthious Brunson and Tyrice Brunson each adding one point.
Devante Dawkins led Green Sea Floyds with a game-high 18 points with DeAndre Collier adding 13 and Kroshon Thompson scoring 10. Terrance Hayes added five points in the win and Devarus Spain earned three. Dawkins, Thompson, Spain, and Hayes all sank three-pointers.
GSF improves to 3-2 overall while Lake View falls to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in Region 8-A.
The Wild Gators are now on break for the holidays, but will return to action on Tuesday, January 3, when they will host Carver’s Bay at 6:00 p.m. Then on Friday, January 6, Lake View will play host to Latta’s Vikings. Make plans to attend to support our local teams in the new year!
