Services for Joe Lester Sanderson will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Pyerian Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Sanderson, 69, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Born in Marion County, SC, December 10, 1941, he was the son of the late John Archie Sanderson and Earline Daniels Sanderson. He was a member of Pyerian Baptist Church where he was a member of the Men’s Brotherhood , his sunday school class, and the Golden Heart Club, and was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard. He was retired from the American Tire Company.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Huggins Sanderson of Latta; daughter, Wendy Lynn (Rick) Brigman of Latta; son, Gregory Joe Sanderson and his girlfriend, Sandra Lee of Latta; sister, Faustine Turner of Hamer; brother, Gerald (Annette) Sanderson of Latta; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sanderson was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Allen Sanderson.
