The brown 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier belonging to Georgia Bethea Billings, who was reported missing on June 26th, was found Friday afternoon, according to Detective James Hayes of the City of Dillon Police Department.
In the car, remains were found, but Hayes said that the body had not yet been positively identified.
The car was found in a cornfield off Bowling Green Loop. A farmer cutting corn discovered the vehicle.
Law enforcement officers have conducted searches for Billings since she was reported missing in June, but could not locate Billings.
In July, Bethel Hill AME Church posted a reward for information leading to her exact whereabouts.
