Louise Pate Vereen, 89, died July 18, 2011, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Latta United Methodist Church with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church fellowship hall prior to the service.
Born in Robeson County, NC, October 25, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William Morris Pate and Nina McKay Pate. She was a member of Latta United Methodist Church, a member of the Ladies Bible Class, the Wesleyan Group, and more recently the Josephine Stackhouse Circle. She retired from Southern Ammunition in 2006. Mrs. Vereen was predeceased in death by her husbands, Houston Manning, Jr. and R.G. Vereen, Jr.
Survivors include her children: Angela V. Bruce (Rogers) of Temple, TX, Sally M. Parham (Tommy) of Latta, SC, Linda M. Bradfield (Leslie) of New Orleans, LA, Beverly V. Harris (Bill) of Maryville, TN, and Ronald G. Vereen, III of Florence, SC; as well as 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
