Services for Lena Caulder will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday in New Life Assembly with burial in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home, and at other times at Evelyn Dew’s home, 100 China Dr., Latta.
Miss Caulder, 88, died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Marion County Medical Center.
Born in Dillon County, April 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James A. Caulder and Mettie Caulder Caulder. She was a member of New Life Assembly.
Survivors include her son, James L. Caulder of Kenly, NC; sister, Evelyn Dew of Latta; granddaughter, Erin C. Caulder of Latta; great-grandchildren, Raven C. Grooms of Maryland, and Cody V. O’Hara of Latta; numerous nieces and nephews.
Miss Caulder was preceded in death by her grandson, Justin L. Caulder; sisters, Ruth Hewitt, Betty J. Carter, Christine Caulder, Bernice Caulder, and Theo Mew; and her brother, Lafon Caulder.
