Vikings Score in Every Inning for 13-3 Win Over Mullins

The Latta Vikings scored runs in every inning on the way to a 13-3 win over the Mullins Auctioneers in Latta on Monday, April 11.

Latta scored three points in the third, and two points in every other inning for the 13 point win. Mullins scored two runs in the first and added their only other run in the fourth.

J.R. Rich was the winning pitcher for the Vikings, pitching three innings for two hits, one run, and two walks, striking out six.

Matt Rogers and Donell Stanley were the lead hitters for Latta, each going 2-for-4. Rogers scored two runs, and Stanley hit a triple in the win.

The Vikings improve their overall record to 13-4. Their region record is currently 7-2, with their two losses coming from Lake View and Johnsonville, both of which they’ll face in the next week.

The Vikings traveled to Johnsonville Thursday and returned home to host Hemingway on Friday. On Tuesday, April 19, they’ll travel to Lake View at 5:30 p.m. for the second clash of the region rivals. Be sure to come out and support our local teams!
