County Administrator Mobley Resigns

After a nearly hour-long executive session in the second called council meeting this week, Dillon County Administrator David Mobley resigned from his position effective at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 10th.

The motion was made to accept the resignation by Councilman Harold Moody and was seconded by Councilman Archie Scott. Voting to accept the resignation were H. Moody, Scott, Councilman Andrew Graves, and Councilman James “Pee Wee” Webster. Voting against the motion were Councilman Aron Gandy and Councilman Bobby Moody. County Council Chairman Macio Williamson did not vote.

A motion was then made by Scott and seconded by Graves for Lisa Gray, clerk to council, to serve as interim administrator until a replacement is found. This will be effective as of 9 a.m. on Monday, December 13th. All councilmen voted in favor of this motion.
