Services for Mildred Irene Strickland Lane will be held 2:00 p.m.Wednesday at the Dillon Church of God with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Home. Mrs. Lane, 78, formerly of Dillon died Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born in Dillon, February 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Brooks Rowland Strickland and Lillie Mae Marlowe Strickland. Survivors include her children, Linda Allen of Sanford, NC, John Ricky Strickland of Mebane, NC, Brooks Rowland Williams of Sanford, NC, Vickie Diane Small of Asheville, NC; and Annie Debra Skaggs of Sanford, NC; brothers, Odell Strickland of Newport News, VA, and Robert Strickland of Carrollton, GA; 3 grandchildren. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her grandson, James Bobby Mosley; and her sister, Omalee Gaddy.
