Helen Mims Reaves Covington, 52, died in the Marion Regional Medical Center August 26, 2010. Funeral services were held 11:00 AM Saturday August 28, 2010 in the Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation was 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service in Kannaday Funeral Home.
Mrs. Covington was the daughter of Billie Kate Allen and the late Jimmy Reaves. She was employed in the shipping department of Franco Manufacturing. She was a Baptist and a member of the First Baptist Church in Dillon.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Covington of the home; her son, Byron D. (Jaime) Covington of Latta, SC; and her grandson Dawson Martin Covington. She is also survived by her mother Billie Kate Page of Mullins, SC; three brothers: James Clarence “Bud” (Phyllis) Reaves III, Edward Bryan Reaves, and Walker Allen (Margaret) Reaves all of Mullins, SC; one sister: Mary Kate Reaves (Don) Herring of Mullins, SC.
