Madison Bailey Signs With FDTC

Madison Bailey took another step in her career as a softball player when she signed with Florence-Darlington Technical College on Thursday, December 6, at the Dillon Christian School Library.
She was joined by her parents, Charlie and Faye Bailey; her sister, Erin; her brother, Conner; grandparents, Clyde and Faye Bailey; friends, and coaching staff from the school.
Madison has played softball for 10 years and has enjoyed it to the fullest. Her sister, Erin, who also plays for Florence-Darlington Tech, influenced her most in this sport.
Not only is Madison a good softball player, she is also plays volleyball and basketball.By attending Tech, Madison gets to continue her education and further her love of the game. While playing rec ball in Dillon County, Madison had the opportunity to play in the World Series, an adventure she loves to recall.
In making the transition to the next level, Madison will carry what she has learned thus far in her career, hard work and dedication for the game she loves.
She has already received the MVP award while playing at the high school level.
At Tech she will probably see action as a pitcher and a utility player while majoring in Occupational Therapy. Madison’s parents, Charlie and Faye Bailey, are very proud of their daughter. Both parents exclaimed, “She has put a great deal of time and practice in getting where she is today. We look forward to watching her continue to grow in the game she loves.”
Dillon Christian School softball Coach Delores Conn stated “Madison has been a welcome addition to the DCS family and the softball program. She is an exceptional athlete and will be an asset to the softball program at Florence-Darlington Tech. We wish her much success.”
Dillon Christian School Athletic Director Christian Wolfe stated “Madison has been a tremendous asset to Dillon Christian School. Not only has she been an involved student-athlete participating in softball, volleyball and basketball, but she is an all-around great student. Her character has shined both on and off of the field, and she has put forth great effort in all school activities. Her family has been involved and supportive in both her academic and athletic success. We are excited to see what the future holds for her!”
