William Carroll “Billy” Lane, 24, died Thursday, October 4, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Services was held 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at Hamer Church of God with burial in Evergreen Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born in Marion County, SC, August 26, 1994, he was the son of John Carroll Lane and the late Nellie Cox Lane. He was a member of Hamer Church of God, and was a member of the Oakland Fire Department.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, John & Margaret Lane of Hamer; half-brother, Scottie Daniels of Greensea, SC; step-brothers, Bobby Bryant (Regeina) of Florence, SC, Wayne Bryant (Wanda) of Lake View, SC, Tony Daniels of Dillon, SC, Bruce Cook of Hamer, SC, and Lynn Cook of Florence; step-sisters, Sarah Daniels, and Sharon C. Tanner, both of Dillon, SC, and Sheila Lane of Latta, SC.
