Dillon Middle School Lunch Bunch Meets

LUNCH  BUNCH—The Lunch Bunch Book Club at Dillon Middle School met in the media center on October 27.  The featured book was The Swap by Megan Schull, which has been nominated for this year’s South Carolina Junior Book Award.  Twenty students enjoyed lunch in the media center provided by one of the school’s business partners, followed by a lively discussion of the book.  One interesting twist with this book is that it was recently made into a Disney Channel movie.  Many of the students had seen the movie version and they compared and contrasted ways in which the book and the movie were alike and different.  The group gave The Swap a unanimous 20 thumbs up.  Door prizes (books) were awarded to nine lucky students.
