ART SHOW—Lake View High School junior Kassi Gryczynski received Best of Show honors at this year’s LVHS’s Poetry Jam and Art Show held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, in the Lake View High School Media Center. An annual event, the Poetry Jam and Art Show recognizes gifted student artists while allowing them an opportunity to share poetry through an open mic. Held each year as a part of the school’s National Library Month recognition, the activity promotes the creative arts, while also celebrating literacy. Other artists recognized for their work included: First Place in the 3-D Division, Mya Reaves; Second Place in the 3-D Division, Taylor Tarte; Third Place in the 3-D Division, Haley Miller; First Place in the 2-D Division, Brent Herlong; Second Place in the 2-D Division, Kassi Gryczynski; and Third Place in the 2-D Division, Brooklyn Tarte.
