Lamar defeated the Lake View Wild Gators 3-0 in varsity baseball action in a game played in the Founders FCU Diamond Baseball Tournament played in Cheraw on Monday, March 28.
Lamar’s Daniel Galloway pitched the 5-inning game while striking out 8 and allowing only 3 hits.
Nick Collins pitched 4 innings for Lake View and allowed 5 hits, 3 runs of which were earned, walked 1 and struck out 5 in the loss.
Lamar scored a run in the bottom of the first inning and also scored a run each in the bottom of the third and fourth innings.
Luke Amerson for Lamar hit a solo home run and a rbi. Jadarius Munford was perfect at the plate in his 2 trips with 2 hits including a double.
Lake View De’Ante Bridget picked up a double in his 3 trips to the plate.

Darlington defeated the Lake View Wild Gators 4-3 in varsity baseball action on Tuesday, March 29, in the Founders FCU Diamond Baseball Challenge Tournament in Cheraw.
Darlington’s Rylan Weatherford picked up the victory as he pitched 1 inning and allowed no hits, no runs, and walked no one.
JoshPrinces pitched 5 2/3 innings for Lake View in the loss. He allowed 7 hits, 4 runs of which 2 were earned, walked 2, and struck out 4.
Ladson Carter and Tabias Dixon each picked up l hit in 2 trips to the plate plus a rbi to lead Darlington to the victory.
The Gators were led by Nick Collins who got 1 hit in 2 at-bats and a rbi while Connor Anderson picked up 1 hit and a rbi in 3 trips to the plate.
Lake View is now 8 and 6 for the season while Darlington is 5 and 5.
Lake View will travel to Carvers Bay on Tuesday, April 5, while Darlington will travel to Lamar on Monday, April 4.
