Mr. Samuel T. Huggins of Florence, SC left his earthly home, January 27, 2016, surrounded by his loving and caring family. He was born in Lumberton, NC, the son of the late Harris and Grace Johnson Huggins.
Mr. Huggins had a love for the Lord. He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church of Florence, SC. He served as Chairman of Deacons, Sunday School teacher, and served on multiple committees of the church. Mr. Huggins was a graduate of Florence- Darlington Technical College and worked for ABB, INC as a quality control inspector. He had a love for fishing and spending time at the family cabin.
A funeral service was Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Bear Swamp Baptist Church, 501 N Bear Swamp Rd., Lake View SC 29563. Burial was at the church cemetery, directed by Cooke Funeral Home. The family receive dfriends January 29, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lake View.
He was a wonderful dad, who was happiest when surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Linda Caulder Huggins; daughters, Callie Huggins Pahis (CJ) and Taylor Huggins; granddaughter, Caulder Elizabeth Pahis, arriving in July; brothers, Rudy Huggins (Judy), Charles Huggins (Kathy), Robert Huggins (Ann), and Danny Huggins; sister, Edith Huggins Rogers (Victor); numerous nieces and nephews.
