Mrs. Jackie C. Davis, 64, died at her home in Lake View on May 29, 2015. She suffered from a long term illness. Ms. Davis was born on May 14, 1951, the daughter of the late Jack and Luvinia Herring Carter of Dillon.
Survivors include her husband, William “Billy” Davis, Sr.; a daughter, Tammy Davis; a son, William ”Billy” (Cyndi) Davis of Lake View; grandchildren; PFC USMC Kyle Cady of Quantico, Va., Nicki Collins of Dillon, Justin And Jonathan Davis, Raven and Layla Clay and Kaylyn Cady all of Lake View; sisters, Linda (Ashton ) Berry of Latta , Nancy Tarte of Florence, Wanda (James) Scott of Hamer, Peggy (Craig) Brown and Carolyn (Jessie)Tyndall, both from Dillon; brothers, Truman and Alsworth Carter of Dillon; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her father-in law and mother-in law Alonzo and Irene Davis; two sisters, Mary Jane and Karen Ann Carter.
The family would like to say a special thank you to her daughter-in-law, Cyndi Davis and niece, Saundra Deese for taking special care of her during this time.
The funeral service will be Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Kemper Baptist Church of Lake View, with burial to follow at Hayestown Cemetery of Lake View. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Cooke Funeral home of Lake View.
