Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators picked up a 5-3 win over Green Sea-Floyds on Thursday night in Lake View.
The Lady Trojans took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but Lake View tied things in the bottom of the inning and took a 2-1 lead with one run in the second. Green Sea added two runs in the fifth for a 3-2 lead, but Lake View scored three in the botto of the sixth to secure the 5-3 win.
Kayla Sanderson got the win on the mound for Lake View, pitching three innings for six hits, two earned runs, and two outs. Morgan Elliott took the loss for the Trojans, pitching four innings for five hits, one earned run, two walks, and five outs.
Marissa Tyndall went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead Lake View at bat. Morgan Herlong hit a home run with a RBI and Amber Locklear went 2-for-2 with a homer and a RBI. Lake View had eight hits and one error in the win.
Morgan Elliott led Green Sea-Floyds, going 2-for-4. The Trojans had nine hits and one error in the loss.
Lake View improved to 12-4 overall and 3-3 in Region 8-A.
The Lady Gators were scheduled to play a doubleheader against Dillon on Monday and will be at Hannah-Pamplico on Wednesday before hosting Latta on Friday. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
