On December 3, 2012, Students from several surrounding school districts made their way to South Florence High School to audition for a seat in the 2013 SC Eastern District Honor Band.
They were required to prepare scales and an etude to play as well as demonstrate sight-reading skills and knowledge of musical terms.
All students who were chosen to participate in this year’s clinic will gather at South Florence High School for rehearsal on Friday, February 1st and Saturday, February 2nd, with a culminating concert at 4:00 pm on Saturday in the SFHS Auditorium.
This event is free and open to the public!
“I am very proud of these students’ hard work in earning a chance to represent the Latta Bands in this way,” said Margot S. Griggs, Director of Bands, Latta High School.
