County Council Passes Resolution To Reimburse Certain Expenditures

The Dillon County Council passed a resolution relating to the Declaration of Intent by Dillon County, South Carolina, to reimburse certain expenditures made prior to the issuance of federally tax-exempt general obligation bonds or other obligations by the county at their December meeting.

Latta Has New Police Chief

The Town of Latta has a new police chief. Derrick Cartwright was hired as the chief of police on November 18th, according to Latta Town Administrator Jarett Taylor.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) will perform bridge deck rehabilitation that will require a lane closure on I-95 southbound at mile marker 175 over the Great Pee Dee River in Dillon and Florence counties from Jan. 5, 2017 through April 5, 2017.
