To The Editor:
Many times I have heard my Dad say, “Son, if you really want to get something done, you need to do it yourself.” While this may be true in some situations, there are those times when only a concerted effort of teamwork and the shared vision of many will culminate in attaining the hoped-for goals.

Part I: What Has Become Of The Dream?

Seeing that this is the month that we celebrate and commemorate the life and legacy of the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., it is only fitting that we make a brief investigation to see what has become of his dream.

The Dillon Girls Basketball team defeated Silver Bluff, 66-42, on Friday night.

One Lane To Be Closed On I-95 North On Saturday

The S.C. Department of Transportation (SCDOT) plans to close one lane on the northbound Interstate 95 for repairs to the bridge of the Great Pee Dee River Bridge near the Florence-Dillon County line on Saturday, Feb. 21.

The United States Attorney’s Office is sponsoring its 12th Annual Project Sentry Logo Contest. The statewide contest allows students an opportunity to design logos on school safety, gun violence awareness and prevention, and submit their illustrations for upcoming Project Sentry publications.

Justin Ballew joined Clemson Extension Jan. 5 as an agent in Dillon County. He’ll focus on horticulture in Marion County and agronomy in Dillon County.
